The Mira HR app

This page explains how to request deletion of your account in the Mira HR app and in the Mira HR web service. The app is published under the name “Mira HR” by Mira HR, the developer and operator of the service.

If you are an employee, your account belongs to your employer’s company in Mira HR. Your employer, as the controller of your data, decides on the deletion of HR records; Mira HR passes your request to them (see below).

How to request deletion

Send an email from the address you use to sign in to Mira HR.

  • Subject: “Delete my account”.
  • In the message, state the name of your company in Mira HR and that you ask for your account to be deleted.
  • We may reply to the same address to confirm that the request came from you.

Contact details will be published here.

What is deleted

When the deletion procedure is in place, a confirmed request results in deletion of the data linked to your account, except the records your employer must keep by law (see below). This covers:

  • Your user account: email address, password hash, two-factor authentication settings and sessions.
  • Your profile in the app: avatar, contact details and settings that you manage yourself.
  • Push notification tokens of your devices.

What is kept and for how long

Payroll and HR records that your employer must keep by law — such as employment contracts, payslips and end-of-service calculations — are not deleted on your request. Your employer keeps them as the controller.

Additional retention period for such records: [retention period — to be set by counsel].

Employee data held by your employer

Employee data in your employer’s company — HR records, including the details your employer has allowed you to change yourself — is managed by your employer as the controller of that data. When we receive a request from an employee, we pass it to the employer, and the decision is theirs. You can also contact your employer directly.
