Employee onboarding software for UAE and Egypt teams
Plan the first weeks once and run them for every new hire: stages, tasks, owners and deadlines counted from the start date. Government steps for the UAE and Egypt are added to the checklist automatically, and the same engine takes people through their exit.

Where onboarding usually slips
Before
The onboarding checklist is a spreadsheet that HR copies for each new hire. Nobody asked IT for the laptop, the manager forgot the first meeting, and the new hire spends day one waiting.
With Mira HR
A program sets out the stages and tasks once, with the person responsible and a deadline for each. Launch it for a new hire and every task lands with the right person, with a reminder before it is due.
Before
The MoHRE contract, the medical fitness test, health insurance, NOSI Form 1: each has its own deadline, and only one person in HR keeps them in their head.
With Mira HR
The government package for the UAE or Egypt is added as a mandatory stage when you launch onboarding, with deadlines counted from the start date and email reminders 7, 3 and 1 day ahead.
Before
Someone leaves, the laptop stays at home, the work permit is still active weeks later, and the final settlement has gone out before anyone checked.
With Mira HR
An exit runs through its own program: the asset-return task cannot be closed while assets are still with the employee, and for foreign employees in the UAE, the work permit and visa cancellation are tasks with deadlines.

Onboarding programs with stages, owners and deadlines
A program is your onboarding plan: stages such as pre-boarding, day one and the first weeks, each with its tasks. Every task has a type — upload a document, give access, hand over assets, a meeting, training, read and acknowledge, a profile form — and is assigned to the new hire, their buddy, the HR contact, their manager or a named person. Deadlines are set in days before or after the start date, so the same program works for anyone you hire, and if a start date moves, the deadlines counted from it move too. Rearrange stages and tasks by dragging them in the editor, and let a stage hold the next one until its tasks are closed. Not starting from scratch? Pick one of three ready-made templates — Standard onboarding, First week or Remote employee — and adjust it to your company.
- Stages and tasks with a type, an assignee and a deadline
- Deadlines in days before or after the start date
- Drag-and-drop editor for stages and tasks
- Three ready-made templates: Standard onboarding, First week, Remote employee

One board for every new hire
The onboarding board shows everyone who is joining or has just joined: their start date, the stage they are at, how many tasks are done and how many are overdue, their buddy and the end of their probation. Switch between a registry and a kanban view by stage, and narrow the list with filters and saved views. A label shows how many mandatory government tasks are done out of the total, so you can see at a glance whose paperwork is behind.
- Registry and kanban views of every onboarding
- Progress and overdue tasks for each new hire
- Mandatory government tasks counted separately
- Filters and saved views

UAE and Egypt government packages, added for you
When you launch onboarding, Mira HR adds the government package for the country of the legal entity as a separate mandatory stage. In the UAE that means the MoHRE contract, the medical fitness test, health insurance, WPS registration and the ILOE subscription; in Egypt, the NOSI Form 47, Form 1 and Form 111. Tasks meant only for foreign employees are added only for them. Each task has a deadline counted from the start date and sends reminders by email as well as in Mira HR. This is a checklist with deadlines, not filing: Mira HR does not submit anything to MoHRE or NOSI on your behalf — it makes sure nobody forgets a step. You see the package in the program editor and in the launch window before anything starts.
- Added automatically by the legal entity’s country
- Mandatory tasks with deadlines from the start date
- Email reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before the deadline
- A checklist to track the steps, not filing with authorities
A clear first week for the new hire
New hires get their own “My onboarding” page and a block on their home screen while onboarding is running: their tasks, their manager, their buddy and their HR contact, each one message away. HR’s government tasks stay with HR and do not clutter the new hire’s list. When you launch onboarding with a start date of today or later, the new hire receives a first-day email with the date, their contact person, their buddy, the company address and a link to their checklist. A questionnaire task lets the new hire fill in their own personal details, contacts and emergency contact; HR accepts the answers into the employee profile or sends them back with a comment.
- “My onboarding” page and a home-screen block
- First-day email with the date, contacts and address
- Questionnaire: the new hire fills in, HR accepts or returns
- A reminder the day before a task is due
Offboarding with grounds, deadlines and a rehire flag
Exits run on the same engine, with their own library of programs. Mira HR starts the library with a ready-made exit program — notice, access and assets, final settlement and closeout — that you can change or replace. Starting an offboarding records the termination: the last working day, one of the eight termination grounds of UAE Decree-Law 33/2021 and whether the person is eligible for rehire, a mark that stays in their employee profile. For UAE legal entities, the exit package adds the work permit cancellation with MoHRE and the residence visa cancellation with ICP for foreign employees; for Egypt, the NOSI Form 6 deregistration, with a pre-filled Form 6 PDF you can review and generate from the checklist.
- Exit programs, starting from a ready-made one
- Eight termination grounds of Decree-Law 33/2021
- Eligible-for-rehire mark in the employee profile
- MoHRE work permit, ICP visa and NOSI Form 6 tasks

Nothing closes while assets or the settlement are pending
Two checks keep an exit honest. A task for returning company assets cannot be marked done while laptops, phones or access cards are still assigned to the departing employee; the checklist lists what is outstanding with a link to Assets. With the Payroll module, a task for preparing the final settlement cannot be closed until the final settlement has been calculated and approved, so the checklist can’t close before the settlement is approved.
- Asset-return task waits until every item is returned
- Outstanding assets listed in the checklist
- Final-settlement task waits for an approved settlement, with the Payroll module
Steps
How it works
Set up your programs
Start from a ready-made template or build your own plan of stages, tasks, assignees and deadlines.
Launch onboarding for a new hire
Choose the person, the program, the start date, the HR contact and a buddy. Before you confirm, you see who gets which task, the government package and the first-day email.
Everyone works their own tasks
The new hire follows “My onboarding”, colleagues get reminders before their deadlines, and HR watches the board.
Run exits the same way
Record the grounds and the last day, launch an exit program and work through it: returned assets, the final settlement and the government tasks.

FAQ
Onboarding questions
Does Mira HR file with MoHRE, ICP or NOSI for us?
No. Government packages are a checklist with deadlines and reminders, so nothing is missed; you still complete each step through the official channels. For Egypt, Mira HR can prepare pre-filled NOSI Form 1 and Form 6 PDFs for you to review before you submit them.
Is onboarding a separate module?
No. Onboarding and offboarding are included in Core HR, together with employee profiles, time off and assets. The final-settlement check needs the Payroll module.
Do we have to build programs from scratch?
No. Three ready-made templates — Standard onboarding, First week and Remote employee — become your own programs in one click, and you can change any stage or task afterwards. Exits start from a ready-made exit program.
What does the new hire see?
Their own tasks on “My onboarding” and on the home screen, their manager, buddy and HR contact, a first-day email and the questionnaire for their personal details. HR’s government tasks stay with HR.
What happens if the start date changes?
Move the start date and the deadlines that are counted from it move too, including the deadlines of the government package.
Is there an exit interview?
Coming soon. A structured exit interview for departing employees is planned.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. The interface works in Arabic, right to left, as well as in English, and the government package tasks appear in your company’s language.
